Center for Education and Human Capacity Development (EHCD)

The GIRT education dimension serves as the support foundation of the four pillars focusing education and training of emerging leaders for state and institutional transformations. The long neglect of the youth development sector has resulted in increases in unemployment, cultism, gang warfare, and militancy. The EHCD will prepare the youths to achieve socio-economic well-being to live and lead a life of impact and responsible citizenry, support basic and secondary education in the local communities, and support university/college students and faculty in partnering institutions to accomplish advanced post-graduate research. Specifically, GIRT-EHCD will:

  • Provide transformational leadership training and certifications for executive and emerging leaders
  • Develop the capacity of today’s youth for life of impact in their communities.
  • Develop standard-based technology driven basic education, teacher training, and teaching/learning assessment tools and instructional materials to deliver quality education in Africa.
  • Develop exchange (degree and non-degree) programs between institutions in Africa and US and Canada
  • Provide Professional Career development and continuing education in medical, agricultural, manufacturing, and energy sectors
  • Implement international study abroad experience opportunities to promote global engineering technological experience in African cultural context;
  • Provide training and education opportunities for U.S. and African students through web-based distance learning and international exchanges.
  • Serve a synergistic research ecosystem that maximizes the strengths of multiple universities and scientists, where a group of experts come together to work on common problems
  • Coordinate the design and delivery of the Research Educational Resources and the Technical Training Services
  • Provide advancements in educational pursuits of citizens for the betterment of their communities
