Medical and Public Health Research and Services (MPHR)
The Medical and Public Health Research and Services center must provide basic and applied medical research (in tropical diseases, cancers, and all women and youth problems), operational public health services, and training, and medical education for medical students, physicians, physician assistants, nurses, para-medical practitioners. The center must also develop and provide standard-based educational systems and training curricula for hospital and medical units, and mobile medical units for rural areas. The facility must have full capability for medical tests, simulation, medical laboratory, and standardized patient training departments. Related to medical and public health issues are the growing environmental pollutions, poor sanitation and garbage disposal system. The MPH research center focus areas include:
- Cancer Research and Diagnoses
- Tropical Diseases and Drug Delivery Research
- Glaucoma Research and Services
- Search for malarial and typhoid vaccines.
- Public Health Research and Services
- Medical preventive training and services
- Transformational leadership training in this area
- Carry on business of providing continuing health-care education to health care professionals
- Carry on the business of hospital equipment’s research and development and distribution in local medical units
- All other related areas of human conditions
